Chain O’ Lakes State Park: East Hike

Chain O’ Lakes is full of natural treasures. The riches within the eastern section of the 6,023-acre park include expansive wetlands, gently rolling prairies, pleasant wooded areas, and a peaceful stretch of the Fox River-all accessed by a well-designed trail system.

The trails in this eastern section of the park are laid out in four connected loops running north and south. The two south loops, hitting some of the busier sections of the park, brush up against Grass Lake and run through dense, hilly woods.

The two north loops are notable for hilltop views, quiet prairies, and a brief rendezvous with the river.
